Top watches and trends for 2016

It can take a long time to find the right watch and watch manufacturer for you. However, once you have made this decision, and sourced your dream watch, it says as much about you as the house you live in, the company you keep or the car you drive.

It also, seems that oversized watches are very much last year with slimmer and smaller watches now more popular. A slim watch with a leather strap seems the fashion watch for 2016.

2015 was the year of the smartwatch and Apple, in particular, had mixed reviews of it’s Apple Watch. However, 2016 may well be the year of the luxury watch smartwatch with Tag Heuer leading the way with it’s new connected smartwatch. The watch, made in association with intel, is available in the UK from early 2016.

Whilst technology will go some way to determining the trends for 2016, and years to come, luxury watches will always have a place in peoples lives. Age old manufacturers such as Audemars Piquet, Patek Philippe, Rolex, Blancpain and Breguet. These watches can be classed as an investment, with many of the models becoming valuable collectors items in years to come.

Whatever the trends for 2016, these watches need adequate insurance.
